Tell Me About It
If the Energizer Bunny and the Incredible Hulk were to spawn an Android smartphone, the DROID RAZR MAXX HD would be its love child. While this device is packed with a multitude of impressive features, what really sets it apart from any other smartphone on the market is its extended battery life and virtually indestructible body made with KEVLAR, Corning Gorilla Glass and a water repellent coating.
Who It's Good For
The DROID RAZR MAXX HD by Motorola is perfect for just about anyone, however, it's the power-users and phone abusers who will truly appreciate this smartphone. Power users will adore the long-lasting battery that offers up to 32 hours of performance on a single charge, as well as the ultra powerful dual-core 1.5GHz processer and 1GB of RAM that makes it incredibly easy to multi-task with zero lag. Phone abusers won't be able to live without the premium materials used to create this virtually indestructable phone. DuPont⢠KEVLAR® fiber encases DROID RAZR MAXX HD's entire rear cover. Corning® Gorilla® Glass protects the display from scrapes and scratches and the water-repellent nanocoating protects the inside and outside from the occasional splash.

Why This is Wirefly BUZZworthy
I have been using DROID RAZR MAXX HD by Motorola since November 2012 and just love it. In the spirit of full disclosure I am a DROID fan â I have owned an original DROID, a DROID X and most recently a DROID Bionic. The RAZR MAXX HD is the best by far with its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. Why? Battery Life, Look & Feel, and Widgets.
Battery Life - The RAZR MAXX packs a whopping 3,300ma battery into its slim elegant case. It is over double the capacity of an iPhone 5 battery. It is 20% bigger than the Droid Bionic's extra cost extended battery which required an extra thick back to be added to the phone and made it hard to fit in your pocket. You can run it all weekend and still have power left on Monday. AllThingsD ran a competitive test of battery life and reported that the Razr Maxx "thumps" the iPhone 5 and other Android phones. This is what everyone wants in a 4G Smartphone. You want this feature.
Look and Feel - The RAZR MAXX HD is less than 9mm thick - 1mm thicker than an iPhone 5, but with a much bigger battery and a bigger 4.7-inch 1,280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD display. Yes that's 720p, just like an HD TV. The back of the case is Dupont Kevlar with a graphite âsports gripâ look, the front is all Corning Gorilla Glass and a high end strip of silver metal circles the frame. The RAZR MAXX HD fits easily in your jeans pocket and it is very difficult to damage the phone - mine doesn't have a scratch on it after 5 months of daily use and several drops onto concrete.
Widgets - Motorola has done a really good job with account setup and real-time widgets that show your electronic communications as they arrive. I have separate widgets for my work email on Outlook, my Outlook calendar, my Verizon.net home email and Facebook all running in real time. You can scroll through messages and appointments in the widget without opening it to full screen.
If you are shopping for a smartphone that can take a lickin' and keep on tickin', as well as maintain a battery charge for an entire day (possibly two). then the DROID RAZR MAXX HD is THE device for you.
