Motorola Announces Latest Cell Phones

Motorola announced several new cell phone models to be released this year, including the hot new RAZR2 v8 “Luxury Edition”.

Among them is a luxury version of the RAZR2, which is being marketed as potential holiday gift. The special edition luxury RAZR 2 has 18k and 24k gold-plated accents on a slick black slate, vacuum metal finish.

The designers overlooked no details and included elegant pin stripes on the CLI lens, an engraved diamond-cut pattern on the sideband and a linear etching on the navigation wheel; with a soft-touch back, embossed with a snakeskin effect, the device even feels luxurious in the hand. It also stores up to 1,000 songs.

Speaking of music phones, four of the new Motorola W-series phones — the W160, W180, W213 and W377 — feature FM radio. Six of the newly announced phones contain Motorola’s proprietary CrystalTalk technology, which automatically adjusts audio for clear calls in noisy environments.

The value-priced W377 helps satisfy the cost-conscious as well as the fashion-conscious. This Motorola cell phone includes must-have entertainment and organization features all packed into a stylishly slim design in several colors. It would be a great phone for someone who doesn’t want all the bells and whistles (perhaps someone new to owning a cell phone), but still wants a great looking and performing Motorola phone.

Motorola also introduced the Motorola U9, a lightweight phone and music player with clamshell design and stereo Bluetooth wireless technology, a two-megapixel camera with 8x zoom and multiple messaging capabilities. However, the Moto U9 cell phone is pegged for introduction in Asia, Latin America and Europe — no indications when or if it will be released in the United States.
