Alltel Introduces New On Demand Video Option

Alltel beefed up its video options yesterday, when it announced a new category of on demand video clips to augment its existing Axcess TV.

The new service – Axcess TV on Demand – offers more than 200 on-demand video clips at any given time, taken directly from network television shows. On-demand users can choose the basic lineup of NBC News, NBC Entertainment, FOX Sports, Discovery, and a handful of MTV offerings for $4 a month; or, for an extra $2, gain access to the premium package which includes programming from NBC Sports, TLC, Animal Planet and Nickelodeon.

Axcess TV on Demand slides into the Alltel video lineup alongside the carrier’s streaming video service, which delivers live content from a dozen channels.
