Vine: “Share life in motion”

by Jacqueline Bailey on June 19, 2013
App Name: Vine
Operating System: iOS, Android
App Cost: $0.00 (as of 6/19/13)

Why This is Wirefly BUZZworthy

Vine is quickly becoming a favorite among social networking apps for smartphones. It is a six-second looping video with the ability to record continuously or stop-and-go for unlimited periods of time, which is especially easy to use on the DROID RAZR MAXX HD by Motorola because it has 32 hours of battery life! This will allow you to record and watch posts on Vine for hours without draining the battery.

Vine started off solely on iOS smartphones but was recently made available to Andriod smartphones in the Google Play Store, allowing a much wider range of people to join the craze. And who wouldn't? It's a fun, easy, and free app!

With an Explore option that allows you to see what videos are most popular and trending as well as the ability to share your videos to Facebook and Twitter, it seems similar to any other photo-sharing app (seeing as it was created by Twitter). But being able to capture your favorite live-action moments and piece them together into one video is unlike the rest.

Feel like showing your followers what cool trick your dog did on your morning walk? Go for it! In fact, make a joke out of it-more people will enjoy a video with a hilarious punch line.

Many have taken this app by storm and recorded incredibly creative, hilarious, and even educational videos for any user to see. And if you miss it the first time, keep watching the video and it'll replay.

Connect with your friends, family, and favorite celebrities through Vine and spark your creativity.

  • Stop-and-go recording
  • Ability to share on Twitter and Facebook
  • Compatible with iPhone and Android smartphones
  • Explore option

  • Only 6 seconds to record
  • All profiles are public
  • Must be 17 or older to download - not all content is PG!

Final Verdict

I check Vine multiple times a day to see what my friends and even some of my favorite celebrities are posting. Social networking creativity on smartphones is at an all-time high thanks to the Vine app. I suggest it to anyone looking to create fun or educational looping videos to share with fellow Vine users.
