Smartphones and even basic cell phones can do so much more than make phone calls. Wirefly will show you how to do more with your smartphone, including how to make a mobile hotspot, how to block unwanted calls, and even how to personalize your ringtone. At the same time that smartphones pack more capabilities than ever, cell phone manufacturers have stopped including manuals in the box. Wirefly makes it easy to learn how to use your phone in new and exciting ways.

If you've made the switch from iOS to Android, you're probably wondering what to do with all of your photos and videos. Sometimes we can make this transferring process harder for ourselves by not looking up the correct information so, like always, Wirefly is here to help.

How often do you forget (or lose) your cellphone stand? I have a wonderful little ball suction cup stand for my phone, except due to it's size, and the fact that I have a toddler who found it amazing, I can never find it when I need it! Laying the phone flat can lead to distortion or a glare, and leaning it against something can work, but when I make that attempt my phone always seems to slide down. So what now? I had a large paperclip sitting on my desk, and realized I could probably morph that into something usable! I then spent a few minutes scouring my desk to see what other items I could repurpose! Thankfully there were several promising candidates!
Cell phone cases... What catches our eye today may not look as great tomorrow! I've owned the same case since I got my phone (2012), but it's only looked the same a handful of times. You don't want the paper to be too thick (regular printer or scrapbook paper is just fine), and can find it at any local hobby store (even Walmart and Target are well stocked with scrapbook paper these days).
Have a more creative personality? There are numerous templates (photoshop and illustrator) available for the cases allowing you to incorporate images and text... read more

In situations where you need a secure internet connection and no safe, public WiFi is available, a mobile hotspot can feel like a lifesaver. The smartphone has forever changed the way the average person takes spontaneous pictures. Since most people carry around their smartphones everywhere with them versus only bring out the old point-and-shoot camera for special occasions, more photos are being taken per year than any other time in history.
For instance, while walking down the street in Reston, Virginia, you might run into a local celebrity like...Scott Lewis the video reviewer and blog writer from Wirefly. A few years ago, if you didn't have your point-and-shoot camera with you, you would have only been able to tell the story to your friends. In the smartphone era, you can take a picture with me, I mean the local celebrity that you run into and post a high-definition copy to your social media sites for... read more
