Daylight Savings time happens this weekend. In the spring, the U.S. springs forward and this unfortunately means that we lose an hour. Whether you consider it a lost hour of sleep, quality time with family, or work any way you look at it we lose an hour of precious weekend time.
The lost hour of sleep is going to make it even more difficult for you to wake up come Monday morning. The I Can't Wake Up app is the perfect app to make sure that you don't push the snooze one too many times. You actually have the option to select how many times you can choose to snooze or if you can even snooze at all. This app doesn't just play your favorite song as the alarm or have some annoying buzzer, it challenges your brain to "wake it up." You can choose from things like completing math... read more

Spring cleaning may be a thing that only our grandmothers did, but a clean and organized house can have a huge impact on your happiness. Washing walls, cleaning ceiling fans, and clearing out closets are not on the top of "my fun things to do this weekend" list but they are still things that I should do. Will I ever get to them? I don't know but I plan on making an honest try. I went in search of an app to help me because we all know there is an app for everything. The Spring Cleaning Checklist app is available for Android devices for free from the Google Play Store. The app breaks down the extensive list into... read more
I first downloaded the Fruit Ninja app for my 7 year old son. After watching him slice, dice, and destroy the fruit, I asked him for a turn. I was hooked. Who knew mutilating fruit could be so fun? There are three different modes of play- Classic, Arcade, and Zen. In Classic mode you must slice every fruit that flies up on the screen, miss three or swipe a bomb and the game is over. Zen is a timed session that challenges you to beat your best score while giving you bonuses for slicing multiple fruits at one time or slicing the rare Starfruit. My favorite is Arcade mode, it is a 60 second round that challenges you to slice as much fruit as you can, but be careful because a bomb can pop up at any time. Slicing the bomb will take away points. Make sure you slice the "frozen fruit... read more
